The “Riga Richard Wagner Society” (hereinafter, “the Society”) was founded at the end of 2014 for the purpose of reconstructing the Riga City Theater building at Riharda Vāgnera iela 4, to renovate the theater hall, adjusting it to the needs of chamber concerts and theater performances, to develop a Richard Wagner Museum in Riga, promote understanding of the works and life of Richard Wagner, and support the scholarship fund established in compliance with the wishes of Richard Wagner himself.
